Supply Access
Shopify Redesign & Rebrand

Full Shopify redesign for a US restaurant-supply brand selling takeout bags factory direct, plus a rebrand from BetterBag+ to Supply Access partway through. One-product store rebuilt as a multi-line catalog with a first-box welcome offer, tiered subscription bundles, and a journal where customers vote on the next product.

01 / The work

The project.

Supply Access sells takeout bags to restaurants, factory direct, by the box or on subscription. The store started life as BetterBag+, a single-product shop built around one Thank You bag. The brief was a full redesign on Shopify that could carry a growing catalog: kraft paper bags as a second line, clamshell containers announced as a third.

We built on Shopify's Horizon theme and wrote our own set of Liquid sections on top of it: a hero slider shot around real counter service, a featured-products slider, a shop-by-line section, a supplier comparison table, and a bundle section with three subscription tiers. Product pages got a rebuilt buy panel with image cards for the size option and numbered buying steps, a spec grid with oversized figures in place of a plain table, and the factory video next to the production steps.

The first-order offer needed more than a discount code. The Discovery Box shows a welcome price only to guests and to customers with no previous orders, and that price follows the product everywhere it appears: product cards, the menu, the cart drawer, and search. It runs on a product metafield plus theme settings, so the client changes the offer without touching code.

Partway through the project the brand changed its name to Supply Access. We swapped the identity across the theme (inline SVG wordmark in the header and footer, the logo typeface loaded for the footer wordmark) and reworked the homepage from a single-product pitch into a catalog with lines. We also built the Journal: a blog with a redesigned post template, a sticky sidebar with a product card and early-access signup, and a vote template where customers pick the next product, with votes arriving through the contact form.

02 / Process

How we built it.

Steps that mattered for this project.

01 / Theme

Horizon base & custom sections

Shopify Horizon as the base, with our own Liquid sections on top: hero slider, featured products, shop by line, supplier comparison, subscription bundle tiers.

02 / Product

Buy panel & spec grid

Rebuilt buy panel with image cards for sizes and numbered buying steps. Spec table replaced with a grid of large figures, plus the factory video beside the production steps.

03 / Offer

First-box welcome price

Welcome price shown only to guests and customers with no orders, carried across product cards, menu, cart drawer, and search. Driven by a product metafield and theme settings.

04 / Rebrand

BetterBag+ to Supply Access

New wordmark and typeface across the theme, homepage reworked from one product to a catalog of lines, and a Journal with a vote template for the next product.
